What is World Refugee Day?

Observed every year on 20 June, World Refugee Day is an international day designated by the United Nations to honour the resilience, courage, and contributions of refugees around the world.

It is a moment for the global community to pause — to remember the millions of men, women, and children who have been forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution, and crisis, and to reaffirm our shared commitment to protect and support them.

Malaysia Diaspora Network

Founded by Andrew Ng (Founder of ElShaddai Centre), Malaysia Diaspora Network (MDN) is a network of individuals, churches, missionaries, and interested parties united in advancing diaspora missions in Malaysia.

As part of the Global Diaspora Network — a catalytic movement of the Lausanne Movement that seeks to fulfil God’s redemptive mission among, by, and through people on the move — and the Refugee Highway Partnership, a global Christian network committed to serving all forcibly displaced people and strengthening refugee ministries, MDN serves as a bridge of hope.

It reaches out to scattered communities, migrants, and refugees in Malaysia with the love of Christ and the transforming power of the Gospel.
